This is one of the prettiest chais I’ve gotten. It comes in a wide, deep mug, has a nice little layer of sweet foam, and is dusted with cinnamon. This chai draws you in with its looks, and the first sip delivers. It’s sweet, soft, a little spicy, the cinnamon feels like a luxury. But as you get to know it more, you realize there’s not really a lot there. It starts to feel hollow, it falls flat. At a first glance, this chai is similar to the Tipson from Market on Front, but it’s...different. This chai doesn’t feel like it’s keeping anything back, it’s trying so hard and giving you everything it has. “Here,” it says, “Everything I have and am belongs to you. Take my heart, I dressed it up the way you like.” This chai is so earnest, it breaks your heart to have to tell it that, you’re sorry, but this really isn’t going to work. You might try to let it down easy and say you’re at different stages in your life, but all that means is that you’ve grown more than this chai ever could. And n
